Reiki

Reiki is a spiritually guided life energy, which originates in Japan and involves the placing on or hovering of hands to the body. It was discovered by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 1900's.

Reiki is experienced differently from each individual and it is important to be open to more than what is listed below. Here you can see examples of how the power of Reiki energy can benefit you every day.

Crystal Healing

Crystal Therapy uses semiprecious and precious stones to enhance mental, spiritual and physical healing. It is based on the belief that certain crystals and gems possess a powerful energy; these can positively affect imbalances in human energy fields and thus promote health and well-being.  This is an incredibly beneficial treatment for clients seeking to alleviate emotional troubles caused by physical imbalances.

Crystals are laid on the body in this treatment.

Primarily we will work with your chakras and each session from then on will be tailored to your needs and requirements. Different crystals hold different properties so if you did want to focus on a particular area, be sure to let me know ahead of your appointment so I can bring the crystals specific to your needs.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body.

By massaging and applying manipulative pressure on the feet, practitioners can stimulate the central nervous system in quite precise ways. 

Reflexology has an ability to stimulate nerve functions that help your body increase your energy levels, circulation, central nervous system, prevent migraines, clear urinary infections, sleep disorders and depression. Other benefits include:

  • Cancer – reflexology is regularly used on those suffering with cancer. It is known to reduce symptoms caused by chemotherapy including nausea, pain, constipation and diarrhoea. It can also help with sleep and anxiety.

  • Arthritis – reflexology has also been used to treat for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, with patients reportedly feeling up to 40% less pain.

  • Hypertension – a common risk of heart disease, reflexology is thought to assist with the reduction of hypertension.

  • Anxiety and depression – the two most common mental health problems. The relaxation side of reflexology can extend to the mind to calm and aid any signs of depression and anxiety.

  • Multiple sclerosis – this is a disease of the nervous system and it’s suggested that reflexology decreases the fatigue felt with multiple sclerosis, and that it may reduce the tingling sensations experienced.

  • Circulation – receiving foot reflexology is known to improve your blood circulation to vital organs. This in turn can result in quicker healing and regrowth of any damaged cells.

  • It can also be useful during pregnancy and even reduce the risks of post-natal depression.

And of course its fantastic for relaxation and stress management.

Neuro linguistic programming

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Neuro refers to your neurology; Linguistic refers to language; programming refers to how that neural language functions. In other words, learning NLP is like learning the language of your own mind!

NLP is a set of tools and techniques, but it is so much more than that. It is an attitude and a methodology of knowing how to achieve your goals and get results and so goes hand in hand with the coaching.

hypnosis

Hypnosis, also referred to as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration. When you're under hypnosis, you usually feel calm and relaxed, and are more open to suggestions.

Hypnosis can be used to help you gain control over undesired behaviors or to help you cope better with anxiety or pain. It's important to know that although you're more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you don't lose control over your behavior.

Hypnotherapy can be an effective method for coping with stress and anxiety. In particular, hypnosis can reduce stress and anxiety before a medical procedure, such as a breast biopsy.

Hypnosis has been studied for other conditions, including:

  • Pain control. Hypnosis may help with pain due to burns, cancer, childbirth, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, temporomandibular joint problems, dental procedures and headaches.

  • Hot flushes. Hypnosis may relieve symptoms of hot flushes associated with menopause.

  • Behavior change. Hypnosis has been used with some success in the treatment of insomnia, bed-wetting, smoking, and overeating.

  • Cancer treatment side effects. Hypnosis has been used to ease side effects related to chemotherapy or radiation treatment.

  • Mental health conditions. Hypnosis may help treat symptoms of anxiety, phobias and post-traumatic stress.

    time line therapy

    Time Line Therapy® utilizes a person’s own internal “Time Line” to work with their unconscious minds in a variety of ways; including, healing emotional traumas and eradicating unwanted thoughts, emotions and behaviors.

    Your “Time Line” is how you unconsciously store your memories or how you unconsciously know the difference between a memory from the past and a projection of the future. Behavioral change in an individual takes place at an unconscious level. People don’t change consciously. The Time Line Therapy® techniques allow you to work at the unconscious level and release the effects of past negative experiences and change “inappropriate” programming in minutes rather than days, months or years.
