Decision making for the future.

Do you worry about whether you are making the right decision most of the time? What if you make the wrong decision?

Personally I don’t think you can make a wrong decision, especially as far as the future is concerned. Life is not about the destination, it’s about the journey and whatever choices you make, you will gain experience and learn something from. If it ends up being challenging, there’s a reason for that but if you couldn’t handle it, it wouldn’t happen. Look at these challenges as something to grow from.

The past is behind you, don’t dwell on it. The future hasn’t happened yet, so don’t worry about it. Enjoy right now because this moment is all you have and no-one knows what is coming up for you. Embrace the not knowing, start seeing the world through child like eyes, where everything is amazing and a new experience to learn from. Live in the now.

A great way to embrace this is to have the attitude of gratitude. Write down at least 5 things you are grateful for every day. Don’t just write them though, really bring the feels out and feel thankful to the core, you might surprise yourself how much better this one act makes you feel.

You can do Anything starting right Now.

Far too often, we say, "I'll be happy when....." or " I'll start it Monday...."" I'll do it when I get back from...." and so on. Do you find yourself doing this? I know I have plenty of times in the past and I still do catch myself doing it now and then.

This is why I started this post with the quote because no matter what you are trying to achieve in your life, whether it's business, weight loss, balance, get fit, finances or anything can start right now, no excuses. You just need to take small steps in the right direction and you will get there, and the sooner you start the sooner it will happen. Life is too short to put things on hold. People have written novels from just 15 minutes a day.

Whatever it is that you are wanting to achieve, needs you to make a commitment to making it happen. For example, say your goal is to run 5km without stopping. Maybe you don't think you have enough time to exercise....start by increasing your daily activity. If you drive everywhere start walking, if it's too far, drive and park further away, walk up stairs rather than the lift or an elevator. If you can only find five minutes to walk around the block do it and slowly progress it to longer, slowly progress your speed so you can walk/ jog. Whatever you do, start at what ever level you are now and make a commitment to what you can do each day or week and keep to it. Not only will you feel better in yourself for the extra exercise but you'll feel great just for keeping a commitment to yourself and most of all you will see and even feel the results. This in turn will motivate you to do more to keep getting the results you want to achieve.

I've decided to offer a PWYC (Pay What You Can) KickStart Session for those of you wanting to get started and just need a boost in the right direction. Whatever your goal may be, the best results are when you work with it in a holistic way. This is a good way for you to try and see just how committed you really are;-)

More Energy....Is there a pill for that?

Don't you just wish you could take a pill and instantly have more energy? Now before you say anything, I know there are probably plenty of pills out there that can facilitate this but seeing as I'm not promoting hardcore drugs I'll keep to the healthy supplements I've personally tried and other options that don't require a pill at all.

Firstly, there is a lot of truth in the statement, 'you are what you eat' as in the denser the food you eat, the less energy you will have afterwards. The lighter the food you have, you will gain and have more energy. So basically you'll most likely just want to lay around and not do too much after eating a burger and chips, however enjoy a nice chicken salad and you'll be raring to go. If you don't believe me, start making a note of how you feel when you eat certain foods, it will all become clear.

Secondly, water is a must. Do whatever you have to do to increase and keep your daily intake to around 2-3 litres. Yes I'm not going to lie, the toilet trips are annoying for the first couple of days while your body gets used to it but then it settles down and the benefits outweigh that one little annoyance. Not only does water keep you hydrated but it flushes out all the toxins and removes by products of fat, therefore aiding weightloss. It keeps you regular and improves your complexion but more importanly it boosts your immune system and prevents fatigue hence improving energy levels.

Thirdly, get moving. Simply put if you're going to sit and laze around, it doesn't inspire energy, in fact it doesn't inspire a whole lot of anything so get your bum off the couch and do some kind of movement. It can be as simple as dancing around to your favourite music or taking a quick walk around the block but by adding these little bits of activity into your day you will feel more energised to deal with your day to day stuff.

Fourthly, and probably one of the most important ones, get some decent sleep. Now I know this is hard if you have babies and young children but if you don't keep a decent amount of sleep happening, well it won't just affect your energy levels but pretty much everything else in your life too.

Number five and the last one I'm going to write about today is have some fun. Somehow incorporate something you enjoy into your life daily. We were not put on this earth to follow the daily grind of a typical day, every day and then die. We were put here to experience life and all its ups and downs and that includes having fun. Hands up who has more energy to do things you enjoy....need I say more.

Now if all of this seems like a little too much effort for you, there is one particular supplement which I took for a while after going through chemotherapy and while going through radiation which helped my energy levels immensely. Have you ever heard of the mushroom Cordyceps, well its great for Vitality and Stamina without the use of stimulants and it's from the Qinghai Province in China. This is available from my online store HERE.
